I am a native Texan, raised in the Houston area, surrounded by loving family and friends. My interest in art began in high school, with my first painting class. Since then, almost every day has included several hours of painting. I received my BA in Art (and another in History) from Houston Baptist University, in 2008. 

This business grew from my senior art exhibition, for which I painted a series of 16 portraits of people who had impacted my life in some way. People began to ask me to paint portraits of their pets, and I soon realized that (quite amusingly) people often seem to love their pets more than other people! So began my adventure into pet portraits.

Often when I feel overwhelmed by emotion - whether it's peace, anger, love, or confusion, I find the desire to create. In this process I take a journey into my imagination, into a world where I have the control to mold and create, and I allow myself to escape through free expression.
