I'm somehow still managing to stay on top of portrait commissions in spite of going crazy getting ready for my solo show (see here)!! Things have been hectic around the house, especially since I also work out of my house. I'm putting pretty much every piece of original art I have into the show, so my walls are unusually bare and blindingly white right now. I don't think I've ever had so little hanging on the walls before. It's pretty much a few wedding/engagement photographs, a completed Marilyn Monroe puzzle glued together on paper, a couple mirrors and a sconce. BLAH. Guess I'll have to paint something new....when I actually have time!
Anyway... Meet Abbi and Dakota, bffs. Aren't they cute?
Their Mom wanted to do the portraits in shades of blues since the paintings' home will be Dad's office and his business logo colors are blues.
These are actually larger portraits than what's I'm used to painting. They are each 16x20" landscape. It's fun to paint furry faces so big! I mostly just do 8x8" or 12x12" sizes, so this was a pleasure :)
Thanks Sharon for introducing their lovable faces to Blue Giraffe!
