I picked up this cutie at a thrift store a couple weeks ago and couldn't wait to transform it! It's a mid-century, vintage telephone table. The phone went on top when you were using it, or underneath to tuck it away. You could actually sit on the table there to chat on the phone- so convenient! And this one had a cute little drawer- which is what really attracted me to the piece. After a poll on Facebook about which color I should paint, I mixed up some jazzy green chalk paint and got to work (after sanding and cleaning, of course!).
Here's what she looked like before:

The table was in fantastic condition, so I just need to sand a bit to give the paint something to grip onto. And here's what she looks like now!
I added a fantastic, vibrant new beaded drawer pull to have something shiny.
And painted the inside of the drawer with a bright, yellow-y green.
She actually took 6 coats total.... more than I've ever done. But I wanted a really solid look and minimum lines. I've found that round legs are really hard to get an even coat on, so the more light coats you can do, the better it looks in the end. Lastly, the whole thing got waxed twice, for added protection.
I didn't have her for very long... posted on Facebook and a dear friend snatched her up immediately!
On to the next!!
