I am SUPER excited to share this custom portrait with you! This portrait is a bit more customized than most of my pet portraits. This gal has personality, isn't afraid of causing laughs, and is sure to be the center of attention. Meet Ginger, the vivacious Boston Terrier.
Here's what Ginger's mom, Melinda, has to say:

A few years back my husband and I were searching for a companion for our 3 yr old Boston, Patchouli ("Patch"). While shopping at the Panther Creek Arts and Crafts Festival we met a couple who were sitting outside Starbux with their beautiful Boston. After chatting with them about their baby, they shared with us the name of the breeder they had purchased from. I phoned the number immediately and we were put on a waiting list. It was only a few short weeks later that we received a phone call..."It's a girl!" She was 3 days old when we saw her for the first time...and fell in love! We made regular visits and phone calls. It was such a blessing to be able to watch her grow and be close to her as she was developing.

Ginger is almost 3 now. She is quite fiesty and clever. Her day starts by running out into the backyard in search of a squirrel, lizzard, cat...anything that moves in "her" yard. In the photo which was used for her portrait, she was sitting in her chair on the back porch watching the bird feeder for squirrel bandits.
While she can be quite lively, she also loves to cuddle... and like all of them, lives for praise. We are so blessed to have both of our beautiful Bostons!!!

Melinda wanted to add a beach theme to the photo, so I put Ginger on the sandy beach with the waves behind her. Isn't she spectacular?? I would love to be friends with this gal.
I did make one change to the portrait before it shipped - we added something Ginger's dad wanted.
(I couldn't get a great photo of it because the painting's protective varnish reflects light to a certain degree.)

Obviously she's a Texan!
Thanks SO much Melinda for introducing me to this first class, groovy chick.
