Time for a new Whiskers & Tales! These two portraits were very popular on my Facebook page so I was super excited when their mom Iris agreed to write for a Whiskers & Tales post on my blog!

Here's what she has to say:
"Lucas is a 5 year old long-haired Chihuahua and weighs 6lbs. Scout is a Chiweenie pup, is 6 months old and currently weighs 8 lbs. Both dogs are rescued and are our little monkeys! We got Lucas when he was only 6 months and he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and an open molera… both of which prevented him to play with other dogs. Any rough play would cause him a seizure! He quickly became the light of our lives – the smallest of dogs but with a heart full of love and completely void of the yappy-Chihuahua stereotypes. Lucas is one cool, chilled out dog!
Thankfully, Lucas is a healthy adult now so we decided to take on another dog and that’s when Scout came into our lives. As the most playful and energetic pup known to doggy-kind, he definitely contrasts his older brother! But we find that the contrast really works to create a balance. Lucas is learning to socialize and play, while Scout is learning that not every hour is play time and sometimes……… enough is enough!"

Thank you for sharing them with us, Iris!
A quote comes to mind: "A dog is the only thing on Earth that loves you more than you love yourself."
Stay tuned because next time I have a totally awesome portrait to share with you that is a little more "custom" than usual- a hip Boston Terrier named Ginger!
